Bus Trip Testimony

In Their Words...

Once again Heartland Men of Faith (Omaha, NE) sent a bus to another conference...this time to Oklahoma City. We had the pleasure of having three homeless men from the Open Door Mission with us thanks to the generosity of brothers who sponsored them. One man was an African American and the other two were a white father and son. All three gave their life to the Lord that weekend.

We decided to have church on the way home since it was a Sunday. At one of our stops we picked up some cups and crackers and grape juice. One of the men told a lady at the store we needed 32 cups for a bus load of Christian men on their way home from a Promise Keepers event so we could have communion. As always, God moved and she gave us the cups free of charge.

"The homeless father who had his son with him and a wife and two daughters waiting for him back home at the Mission accepted Jesus on the bus ride home."

Before having communion we asked one more time if there was anyone who needed to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. The homeless father who had his son with him and a wife and two daughters waiting for him back home at the Mission accepted Jesus on the bus ride home. Also the African American brother from the Mission was blessed to share a room for two nights with an awesome white brother who just happens to work with many brothers of color. And on the bus trip home the white brother asked the brother of color if he could have the privilege to wash his feet as Jesus did his disciples in John 13:5. Needless to say there was not a dry eye on the bus.

Once again, thank you Promise Keepers! The conference was awesome and the bus trip home just made it even greater.
