You are here: Home > About Us / FAQs > FAQs How do I get involved with Promise Keepers in my local area?Promise Keepers is part of a worldwide movement of Almighty God upon the hearts of men. Below are a few suggestions on how to get involved in the ministry.First, prayer is essential. You might ask God a few specific questions, like "what kind of man do you want me to be?" "Who are the men around me that will help me grow as a Christian?" "What price must I pay to be a man of integrity?" Promise Keepers believes that a man must be in fellowship with other believers in order to grow. We strongly encourage you to get involved with your current church’s men’s ministry, or to begin men’s ministry activities. (See How can I start a men's small group?) Many congregations around the world have functioning, vibrant men’s ministry, and more churches are building men’s ministries all the time. If you are not involved with a church, get involved. Begin calling around. Both the referrals of friends and the yellow pages can get you started. You should be looking for a church that offers regular men’s gatherings, an annual men’s retreat, mentoring programs, regular work projects, small accountability groups, or any combination of the above. |
