The 7 Promises of a Promise Keeper & the 3 divides

A Promise Keeper is a godly Warrior committed to transforming the world by living out the 7 promises and obeying GOD’s word.

He seeks biblical unity by actively restoring the divide in Christ Jesus; between Jews and Gentile believers, rich and poor, and males and females.

Galatians 3:28 tells us that all classes of people are one in Christ;v28 In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. v29 Also, since you are Christ’s family, then you are Abraham’s famous “descendant,” heirs according to the covenant promises.

So how do we heal those divides? Scripture says it’s through honor!

Paul describes honor in 1 Cor. 12:23:
v23 When it’s a part of your own body you are concerned with, it makes no difference whether the part is visible or clothed, higher or lower. You give it dignity and honor just as it is, without comparisons. MSG

You might ask, how do the Seven Promises fit into this?
I’ll answer that at the end of each divide.

I.    Heal the Gender Divide
      We will honor the women in our lives.

Proverbs 31:31 says that we should honor the virtuous woman at the city gates.
This has never been done before by any national ministry, but there is a divide in the body of Christ and women have been placed in an inferior level, we need to take steps to correct that.

Promise 1: A Promise Keeper is a saved man
Promise 2: A Promise Keeper has a few other men around him to keep him accountable.
Promise 3: A Promise Keeper maintains purity standard
Promise 4: A Promise Keeper is committed to a strong marriage

II.   Minister to the Poor, Oppressed and the Needy
        The sin of Sodom wasn’t just sexual sin:

Ezekiel 16:49 states that sin was:
v49 The sin of your sister Sodom was this: She lived with her daughters in the lap of luxury—proud, gluttonous, and lazy. They ignored the oppressed and the poor.

We will ask the Warrior Men of the church to rally behind the Pastor and serve their community by caring for those less fortunate then ourselves.

Jeremiah 22:16 states;
v16 “He pled the cause of the afflicted and needy; Then it was well. Is not that what it means to know Me?”

Promise 5: A Promise Keeper supports the mission of his church and his Pastor.

III.   Heal the Divide between Jew and Gentile
        We want to Honor our Spiritual Fathers:

1 Cor 4:15
v15 There are a lot of people around who can't wait to tell you what you've done wrong, but there aren't many fathers willing to take the time and effort to help you grow up. It was as Jesus helped me proclaim God's Message to you that I became your father.

Promise 6: A Promise Keeper reaches out to demonstrate biblical unity.
Promise 7: A Promise Keeper is committed to influencing his world by the Great Commandment and Great Commission.

Eph 1:17-19
v17 I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory — to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, v18 your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, v9 oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him — endless energy, boundless strength!
