A Letter to the Watchmen

Dear Prayer Team,

Thank you for your faithful prayers for the Promise Keepers' event Time to Honor. It was absolutely incredible. From the beginning of our service as the Volunteer Prayer Coordinators for the event, the Lord told me that there would be a Gideon's army and that this had to do with a wedding.

A couple of months prior to the event, leaders of prayer ministries across the nation began to sense that the Lord was calling this nation to repent for our national sins and that a day of repentance was being required. Coach invited them to use our venue. So, the Day of Repentance was held from 9 AM- 1 PM on Friday, July 31 with those leaders guiding each section of prayer. Approximately 300 people participated.

Approximately 10,000 people attended the Promise Keepers event. Including an entire wedding party, The bride was in her full length gown and carried her bouquet. The groom was in his tuxedo. They came and sat beside the Prayer Booth.

If you will look in your bible in Judges 7, you will read about the Lord's strategy for defeating the Midianites. "The Lord said to Gideon, "You have too many men for me to deliver Midian into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own strength has saved her,..." Judges 7:2 Notice the numbers 10,000 and 300.

This was a make-it or break-it event for Promise Keepers. All resources had been poured into this one event. Sunday, August 2nd the board of directors said that they must move ahead with the plan of the Lord through Promise Keepers. This really is a new thing that the Lord is doing. We are grateful for being a part of it.
