Dear One Year Bible Friends: As citizens of the United States of America, we must thank our gracious Father that we have not had another enemy attack on our land like the one that happened the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001.  May we thankfully observe the eighth remembrance of that tragic and heroic day in solemn observance of the lives given to keep America free. We also thank God for the many lives unselfishly given since then in Iraq, Afghanistan and throughout the world He created.  May we offer prayers for God's Mighty Blessings upon America, Israel; our military and allies who stand against terrorism in all forms... ...Many Americans will attendwhat has become an annual 9/11 memorial event sponsored by the Awakening America Alliance:   Cry Out America 2009 "....And cry out to the Lord." Thank you for praying and May Freedom Ring!   *******  As Friends of Israel...   This coming Saturday, September 12th, is the Torah reading called         "Nitzavim," Hebrew for "You Are Standing..." This Torah portion, Nitzavim, includes fundamentals of the Jewish faith including: the unity of Israel, their future redemption and freedom of choice. Nitzavim, Nitsavim, Nitzabim, Netzavim, or Nesabim (ניצבים — Hebrew for “ones standing,” the second word, and the first distinctive word, in the parshah) is the 51st weekly Torah portion (parshah) in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading and the eighth in the book of Deuteronomy. It constitutes Deuteronomy 29:9–30:20. Jews in the Diaspora generally read it in September or early October. From friends, CHPP learned that some in  President George W. For our faithful readers and intercessors, we have developed this amplified weekly Sunday - Saturday "One Year Bible" format that includes chapter headings.  This gives us a "heads-up" as to what the Scripture readings are that day, so we can pray through them and compare them to the world headlines. Attached is this week's "Word" document of One Year Bible readings with chapter headings. Some of our cherished memorized verses, I have highlighted in purple...The color of royalty...    God Is So Good!   Thank you for your prayers that are establishing His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven!  May the Lord encourage you with this watchman-related verse from Proverbs, "The Excellence of Wisdom."   "Blessed is the man who listens to me (wisdom), watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who sins against me wrongs his own soul, all those who hate me love death." (Proverbs 8: 34-36 NKJV) *******   In closing, I pray, that as you read God's Word in His "One Year Bible," that our combined canopies of prayers covering America and Israel, will help in a small and humble way, to establish God's Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven!  I ask that God will richly bless the "Watchmen of the Night" as they nightly lead into the "Night Watch" with "Praise, Repentance and Yielding." I ask God to bless the "Night Watch" faithful who follow the "Watchmen of the Night," and then "Ask God" to save America and Israel! Ramadan is a time when Moslems concentrate on their faith and spend less time on the concerns of their everyday lives. It is a time of worship and contemplation. Moslems believe that the month of Ramadan is the holiest month of the year, the month when worshipers are closest to their Creator, and that the holiest night of Ramadan, the "Night of Power" (Laylat Al-Qadr), occurs during the last ten days of Ramadan...  Let us continue to pray for the sons and daughters of Ishmael that they will find their true Savior and the God Who Loves Them during this time.  May God reveal Himself to them during their waking and sleeping hours. He has a purpose for this great nation that only He knows.  As He told Abraham prophetically:  "And, as for Ishmael, I have heard you.  Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly.  He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. But, my convenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year."   (Genesis 17: 20-21 NKJV) *** As Friends of Israel...   This coming Saturday, September 5th, is the Torah reading called         "Ki Tavo," Hebrew for "When You Enter..." This Torah portion, Deuteronomy 26:1 - 29:8, begins with these verses: "When you enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you as a heritage, and you possess it and settle in it, you shall take some of every first fruit of the soil, which you harvest from the land that the Lord your God is giving you, put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God will choose to establish His name." (Deuteronomy 26: 1-2 Tanakh*) Moses instructs the Israelites what to do when they enter the land God has given them for their inheritance. He told them to bring the first-ripened fruits (bikkurim) of their orchard to the Holy Temple, and to declare your gratitude for all that God has done for you. This parshah (portion) also includes the laws of the tithes given to the Levites and to the poor, and detailed instructions on how to proclaim the blessings and the curses on Mount Grizzim and Mount Ebal. Moses reminds the people that they are God's chosen people, and that they, in turn, have chosen God.  The latter part of Ki Tavo consists of the Tochachah ("Rebuke"). After listing the blessings with which God will reward the people when they follow the laws of the Torah, Moses gives a long, harsh account of the bad things -- illness, famine, poverty and exile -- that shall befall them if they abandon God's commandments. Moses concludes by telling the people that only today, forty years after their birth as a people, have they attained "a heart to know, eyes to see, and ears to hear." This and many other Jewish terms are defined. This is their Tanakh definition: "TANAKH" - an Acronym, based on the letters T (for "Torah"), N (for "Neviim," the Prophets), and K (for "Ketuvim," the Sacred Writings). As Friends of God... This past week, we asked for your undergirding prayer and for God's Blessings upon Israel as they observed the Ninth of Av, the Jew's "Time Between the Troubles" commemorating the destruction of both Holy Temples.   We also asked you to join us wherever you were to assemble for a national corporate "Day of Repentance," and to watch or join us for Promise Keepers' 20th Anniversary, "A Time to Honor." As you now know, Israel did not receive destruction this past Thursday and Promise Keepers did host the national corporate "Day of Repentance," last Friday, at Colorado University's Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado.   Later Friday evening and through Saturday at Folsom Field, Promise Keepers observed their 20th Anniversary, "ATime to Honor," with a biblical focus on reconciliation as told by the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3: 28 and prayed by Jesus in John 17: 20-22: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, There is neither slave nor free, There is neither male nor female;  For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28 NKJV)   "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  'That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,  that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them,  that they may be one just as We are one." (John 17: 20-22 NKJV) Israel, America, the whole world that He created and the City of Boulder were changed forever...One could sense a Heavenly shift in the balance of power between good and evil. Our versefor the weekend, Psalm 31: 21 was fulfilled: "Blessed be the Lord, for He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!"           Here is a "snapshot" of the "Day of Repentance," and "A Time to Honor"...  Day of Repentance Overcast morning skies didn't dampen the prayers of intercessors on Friday as they began earnestly seeking God's face for the "Day of Repentance." They came together unified saying: "We gather here today as citizens of the United States of America and as citizens of God's Kingdom." Areas of Repentance included: The Sin of Abortion, The Sins of Homosexuality and Sexual Immorality, The Sin of Hypocrisy, The Sin of Arrogance and Indifference to the Poor, and The Sin of Arrogance and Indifference Towards Israel.  The solemn time of assembly ended with: On this day of July 31st, 2009 we have gathered to confess with our mouths the sins of our nation. As You O Lord are the Author and Judge of heavenly Law, it is only Thee who has the right to choose between judgment and mercy. On behalf of our nation, we ask You Lord to consider mercy. 2 Chronicles 7:14-16 -- "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually."  A Time To Honor Despite a downpour Friday night, Biblical reconciliation between Men and Women happened and this continued with speaker Gary Smalley, due to weather, continuing the theme first thing on Saturday morning.  Next on Saturday, reconciliation between the Poor and Providers came in spite of stadium floor temperatures reaching well into the nineties! Simultaneously, the "Called Out" youth, including over 500 teenagers from Indian reservations, were challenged at the Coors Event Center to accept their divine assignments to be warrior youth for Christ.     And in the sweltering heat on Saturday afternoon, Jews and Gentiles came together as One before Yeshua...Coach McCartney and Gentile believers stepped forward to accept and wear a Yellow Star of David from the Messianic Believers, promising them that we would stand with them until death... And the Fathers of our Faith, accepted our love, hugs and undying pledge of loyalty.  The promise of God's Kavod, His Glory being given to us as foretold and prayed by Jesus in John 17, verse 22 is now being fulfilled: "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them,  that they may be one just as We are one." (John 17: 22 NKJV) Praise God, Hallelujah! *** Thank you for your faithful prayers that there would be no more destruction on the Ninth of Av, and that God would be glorified at the "Day of Repentance" and in "A Time to Honor."
