Don Davis
Don Davis was a three-year starter at linebacker for the University of Kansas. Although he was not drafted out of college, he retired in 2007 as an 11-year veteran of the NFL, having played for the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, St. Louis Rams, and New England Patriots - with whom he was a two-time Super Bowl champion.
Don currently serves as chaplain and assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Patriots, the team he played for his last four years in the league. This dual role allows him to give the kind of encouragement to other players he wishes he had received early in his career.
Don credits Doug Gilcrease, chaplain of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with helping him first see his need for a personal relationship with Christ.
In addition to his football duties he is an associate pastor at Living Waters Christian Church in Attleboro and Norwood, Massachusetts. Don and his wife, Yannette, have two daughters - Dominique and Denay - and reside in Attleboro, MA.
