Stephen Newby

Stephen Michael Newby is a worship leader, songwriter, composer, and publisher.  Stephen earned his D.M.A. from the University of Michigan and is currently an Associate Professor and the Director of the Office of University Ministries and the Center for Worship at Seattle Pacific University and directs the Seattle Pacific University Gospel Choir.

He has served as a Worship Leader and Recording Artist for Maranatha! Music and Family Life Ministries. Presently he leads Worship with Promise Keepers. Newby has completed several recordings such as "Delight to Do God's Will" on Maranatha! Music, "Gospel Songs for Baritone and String Orchestra" on Albany Records and "I Still Do" with Integrity Media. Stephen’s new gospel and praise project “We Have a HOME” was released in 2007.

Stephen is married to Stephanie and they have one son, Silas.
