In ‘On the Edge with Ken Harrison,’ Dr. Meg Meeker on Biblical Parenting through Gender Confusion, Part 2

December 30, 2021By PK ManagerNews

This is the second episode in a two-part series.

As a father, how do you stand at the helm of your ship and guide and direct your crew—your family—in love? Are you, the captain, respected and trusted as a leader? Dr. Meg Meeker shares suggestions for parenting children through gender dysphoria, away from the lies of our culture, and towards Jesus Christ.

Dr. Meg Meeker is a pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience, mother of four, and grandmother of six. She has authored 7 books including “Strong Father, Strong Daughter” and “Boys Will Be Boys: 7 Secrets to Raising Healthy Sons,” and has spoken globally about raising up the next generation.

In the second part of this two-part episode, Ken and Meg discuss the importance of strong fathers and their role within the family.

  • “There are a lot of kids who want to be accepted. They don’t want to be guilty. And if you’re guilty because you’re a white male, the best way to not be guilty is to be gay or transgender because then nobody can attack you anymore. So, we have to, as parents, realize that…[and not] overreact. Let’s have patience, and time will probably heal most of these [situations], as we’ve seen through science.” – Dr. Meg Meeker
  • “If you think about people who are successful at anything, relationships, their work, their friendships. These are people who know failure really well, and they’ve had to stand back up again and go at it again.” – Dr. Meg Meeker
  • “This generation of kids, they want to know why… They want to know why they should believe in Christ, why they should believe in God. They want the why’s. And so if you tell them the why’s and then you show them the best way to go, their instincts are going to tell them to go there.” – Dr. Meg Meeker

In ‘On the Edge with Ken Harrison,’ Dr. Meg Meeker on Biblical Parenting through Gender Confusion

December 23, 2021By PK ManagerNews

How do you move forward if you feel like you have already failed as a father? How would you respond to a child questioning their gender identity?

These are some of the hard questions asked and answered in this part one episode with Dr. Meg Meeker.

Dr. Meg Meeker is a pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience, mother of four, and grandmother of six. She has authored 7 books including “Strong Father, Strong Daughter” and has spoken globally about raising up the next generation.

In the first part of this two-part episode, Ken and Meg discuss the important role fathers play in raising up their sons and daughters in a godly way. Dr. Meeker shares how to navigate raising a child in a culture where “gender identity” is viewed as negotiable and what to do if the topic of “transitioning” arises with your child.

  • “You’re accountable to God. So what you need to do from a biblical perspective is look at that child and say to them, you know, God created you perfectly because God doesn’t make mistakes.” – Dr. Meg Meeker
  • “I believe that if fathers could see who they are through their kid’s eyes and in particular the eyes of their daughters, their lives would never be the same because dads are larger than life in their kids’ eyes. They are heroes! Girls want protection, even when they’re 18 and 19. Their dads are the love of their lives. ” – Dr. Meg Meeker

December 16, 2021By PK ManagerNews

Pastor Choco is the former senior pastor of New Life Covenant Ministries, founder of the Chicago Dream Center, author of “Love Them Anyway” and “Move into More”, the first Hispanic executive in the U. S. Assemblies of God, and was named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential men.

“I should have never been on Time Magazine as Time 100. And that just tells me, Ken, that God has a purpose. And can I just say to your viewers that God is in the business of using unusual people.” – Pastor Choco

“The church should always be present, no matter what…and not be afraid of what’s going on in culture.” – Pastor Choco

In ‘On the Edge with Ken Harrison,’ Chris Norton Talks About Trusting God Through Pain

December 9, 2021By PK ManagerNews

What do you do when the unthinkable happens? Chris Norton was faced with this question when, after a tragic football accident, he was told by doctors he would never walk again.

Chris is the coauthor of The Seven Longest Yards, subject of the film 7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story and a motivational speaker sharing the story of how a life-altering football injury shaped his life for the better.

In this episode, Chris and Ken discuss how faith, radical responsibility, community, and having a purpose outside of yourself can turn pain into something great.

  • “I just have this belief that I am responsible for my future, right? You gave it to God, but then you got to do your part and put in the work, and I knew that I had to trust God. And what was going on and how we can turn this pain into a purpose. And then I got to do my part and get to work and see what can come from it.” – Chris Norton
  • “No matter what you go through in life, if you keep going, if you keep praying and keep believing, know that good things can come. You don’t know when it will come. But I do believe that God will turn your pain into a purpose.” – Chris Norton

In ‘On the Edge with Ken Harrison,’ Dallas Jenkins Talks Serving an Audience of One

December 2, 2021By PK ManagerNews

It wasn’t until his feature-length film bombed at the box office that he stopped caring what Hollywood thought—and began working on a project that would touch millions.

For more than 20 years, Dallas Jenkins worked to make it in the film industry. But it wasn’t until his feature-length film bombed at the box office that he stopped caring what Hollywood thought—and began working on a project that would touch millions. Dallas is the director and producer of “The Chosen,” the acclaimed series on the life of Jesus and most successful media crowdfund project to date. “The Chosen” has been watched by tens of millions of people across the world and endorsed by leaders like Kirk Cousins, Pastor Sam Rodriguez, Anne Graham Lotz, and Joni Eareckson Tada.

In this episode, Dallas and Ken discuss how so often God allows us to walk a path of failure before showing us His grace and His plan. Listen in for a conversation on keeping the first things first and the vision for “The Chosen” into the future.

  • “I think there’s a reason why one of the first things Jesus says in the Sermon on the Mount is ‘Blessed are those who mourn.’ I really do. I think that we all have to get to the point of mourning our inadequacy and who we are. Then that can lead us to the beautiful grace and love of Jesus.” – Ken Harrison
  • “The moment I get at all distracted and start caring about what comments I’m going to see on YouTube—I think the show is dead. And so I just really want to maintain that posture of genuine surrender and focus solely on pleasing Him.” – Dallas Jenkins
