Mission Statement: The Promise Keepers Ambassador Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to uniting men through vital relationships, becoming Godly servant-leaders in their sphere of influence.
Join a dynamic, select group of men called to support men's ministries in their local communities.
Qualifications of an Ambassador?
• Are you feeling a calling to be involved in men’s ministries?
• Are in good standing at a Christian church, with a servant’s heart for leadership
• Do you have a passion for building and growing relationships?
• Do you have the knowledge and an appreciation for networking with men and organizations?
• Are you willing to be involved in serving in ministries crossing ethnic and denominational boundaries?
• Do you believe in and are committed to the Promise Keepers Seven Promises?
• Do you have good communication skills, both written and verbal?
• Are you willing to gather feedback and provide innovative insight?
What does an Ambassador do?
He introduces Promise Keepers to churches in his community
The Ambassador shares the heart and mission of Promise Keepers with churches in his community. He encourages churches to develop and support men’s ministries.
He develops supporting relationships with men’s ministry leaders and pastors
The Ambassador pursues relationships with the appointed men’s ministry leaders, Pointman and/or pastors through regular contacts. The Ambassador is the first line of support for the men’s ministry leader (and/or pastor), encouraging him in the development of a vital men’s ministry for the church.
He promotes unity within the body of Christ
The Ambassador is committed to promoting the values of the 7 Promises to individuals and churches. The Ambassador works with his network of churches and other ministries in developing relationships that unite within the body of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:20)
He pursues partnerships with other Ambassadors
Ambassadors network to connect with churches in their communities. He works closely with the local men’s ministry leaders, Pointman and/or pastor and members of other ministries that share the vision of Promise Keepers to provide a unified effort in coordinating training, seminars, and other local men’s ministry events.
He serves pre/post-conference events
A Promise Keepers Ambassador is a servant leader that typically attends and serves at PK events, local church events, and partner gatherings, serving as a volunteer in annual Promise Keepers conferences and assisting with the follow-up strategy for the men who committed their lives to Christ at the conference altar call. Connecting them to a church and a disciple-making group in their local community.
Additional Responsibilities
The Ambassador gathers feedback and provides innovative and meaningful insight to the local church and Promise Keepers leaders. The Ambassador is responsible for promoting regional Promise Keeper and partner events and is encouraged to invest his time and resources back into his community.
Training and Support
As an Ambassador you will have access to training for the roles and responsibilities of being an Ambassador.
Additional training will cover making disciples of men and building vibrant men’s ministries. Organizing/facilitating and leading men’s accountability and support groups. You will be equipped with resources and mobilized to impact their families, churches, and communities. They will also lead community action projects. We call this Connect, Equip, and Activate.
Additionally, a vast library of resources will cover virtually every topic concerning men.
