Conference Services Group Leader II

Purpose: To manage and direct volunteer Conference Services Group II to ensure adequate diversity, recruitment of all volunteer leadership positions, and effective deployment to Conference Services Group II. Encourage and motivate the Conference Services Group II to fulfill their goals and strategies. Ensure that every church within your sphere of influence actively partner in sending men to the conference.

Reports to: PK Conference Services Manager

Works closely with:Conference Volunteer Coordinator, Conference Volunteer Leadership Team, PK Conference Services Manager, Conference Services Group I Leader, and Conference Services Group II Captains (Usher/Greeter Captain, Retail Team Captain, ASL Captain, Special Needs Captain, Spanish Interpretation Captain (if utilized)

Pre-Conference Responsibilities:

  • Help to ensure that the event is “SOLD OUT”
  • Plan and implement strategies for Conference Services Group II
  • Communicate regularly with your Conference Volunteer Coordinator to ensure understanding of Promise Keepers Conference: Core Values, Policies & Procedures, and Conference Services Group II standard operating procedures.
  • Meet regularly with Conference Volunteer Leadership Team to ensure:
    • Implementation of Conference Goals
    • Understanding of Conference Services Group II Goals
  • Recruit the Captain for each Conference Services Group II (Usher/Greeter, Retail, ASL, Special Needs, Spanish Interpretation (if utilized at conference))
  • Initiate and lead the Conference Services Group II meetings.
  • Meet regularly with Conference Services Group II Captains to ensure:
    • All volunteer positions are filled
    • All volunteer diversity goals are met
    • All volunteer job descriptions are handed out
    • All volunteer paperwork is completed
    • All volunteers are trained
    • Volunteer Confirmation letters are sent

Conference Responsibilities:

  • Communicate regularly with the Conference Volunteer Leadership Team
  • Conduct Conference Services Group II training as needed
  • Communicate regularly with Conference Services Group II
  • Ensure coordination with the Conference Service Group II and PK Conference Services Manager
  • Work to empower and resolve problems at the lowest level
  • Encourage and motivate all volunteers
  • Look for potential problem areas and address them before they become problems
  • Work closely with the Conference Volunteer Coordinator regarding daily logistical activities
  • Confirm and coordinate volunteer assignments and shift schedule
  • Confirm and coordinate venue logistics Conference Volunteer Leadership Team and PK Conference Services Manager
  • Assist in setting up Conference Services Group II areas (Usher/Greeter, Retail, ASL, Special Needs, Spanish Interpretation (if utilized at conference) )

Post Conference Responsibilities:

  • Clean up all Conference Services Group II areas
  • Return all radios
  • Submit all documentation to PK Conference Services Manager
  • Debrief with Conference Volunteer Leadership Team and PK Conference Services Manager
